In
August 2000, Foz do Iguaçu received about 4000 people attending XXI International Congress

At the congress I presented a poster under the title "Natural hybridization and evolution in Parnassius (Lepidoptera, Papilionidae) in Siberia and Russian Far East".

At
the congress I also met the colleague from Japan, who visited our
institute in 1999. Here I am and Prof. Keiichi Omoto
(Japan).
A week in Foz do Iguaçu was very cognitive, full of entertainment, and also gave me the chance to make a lot of new interesting acquaintances.
Having another week
before flying back to Russia, I decided to visit Rio de Janeiro and spend some days at
the Atlantic coast.
